A brand-new role has arisen in a leading Scottish retailer and Ecommerce business. The business has achieved tremendous growth in the last 3 years, growing 380%, with this growth trajectory expected to continue. The home interiors retailer has a well-established, multi-million-pound ecommerce website which is consistently achieving growth. As such, the Website Content Administrator will be involved in optimising the company’s digital channels to reflect this.

 

The Role:

As a Website Content Administrator, you will be responsible for the creation, scheduling, publishing, and optimisation of digital content across various digital channels. In addition to this, you will be involved in ensuring the continuity of product merchandising across the company’s digital channels. You will be reporting directly to the Ecommerce manager, working with a small team of highly experienced and knowledgeable individuals. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to learn and progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all new products are added to the company’s digital channels. 
  • Maintaining all products and digital channels across multiple areas. 
  • Writing SEO friendly product descriptions, titles & proof-reading all online copy. 
  • Ongoing updates to and maintaining product descriptions & data across the online catalogue. 
  • Ensuring the digital channels are categorised in the best way possible for the different types of customers and trade to maximise sales. 
  • Ensuring new ranges and product launches run smoothly, liaising with the buying and marketing teams. 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years’ experience of working in a retail orientated ecommerce environment. 
  • Experience of working with an ecommerce CMS. 
  • Ability to work with data, specifically Microsoft Excel. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when working with data. 
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written. 
  • Time management skills to manage the dynamic workload. 
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and achieve group goals. 
  • Analytical and numeracy skills.
