At Bird.i we are looking for an  enthusiastic full-stack designer competent with all aspects of the design stack from UX Design to UI Design, Interaction Design and some basic Front-End development skills.

You must have a passion for UX and design as a whole and have some commercial experience to showcase your work. The ideal candidate should be data driven and have some experience with or willingness to take on some User Research activities alongside

design work. You will be the first designer to work at Bird.i and help form the foundation of the design discipline in the company.


  • Design, test and iterate the UX and UI for all customer facing product verticals
  • Collaborate with rest of product team to understand user needs
  • Introduce design processes and best practices for UI design
  • Develop and maintain UI style guide and components library in collaboration with front-end developers
  • Assist the Marketing led aspects of the business with basic content creation where appropriate
  • Keep the Product Design mentality focused at Bird.i

General profile:

  • Solid commercial experience as UI/UX designer building software products
  • A function-over-form approach to design, but with minimal aesthetic flair that can be called upon for product polish
  • Able to work in teams and collaborate with others to clarify requirements
  • Ability to work across all aspects of the business from product design, testing and marketing
  • Excellent problem solver, analytical thinker and quick learner
  • Eagerness to research new technical solutions and practices to modern design challenges
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for supporting the team accordingly
  • Passion for building excellent products

Technical skills:

  • Professional experience ideally with Sketch, Illustrator and Invision or InDesign, PhotoShop.
  • Ability to create mocks and prototypes of all kinds: from paper + sharpie, to low-fi, high-fi and fully interactive with animations
  • Asset creation, suitable for developer handover
  • HTML + CSS experience
  • Experience with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot or WordPress)
