Working with Stakeholders to develop and validate UX information architecture and graphical concepts, managing and enforcing UX style guidelines for desktop, mobile and web applications. Creating and updating user interfaces including: wireframes, storyboards and compositions. Day to day oversight of more junior UX designers.

My client is currently carrying out a major redevelopment of their in-house system. Your role will be to work with the project office, product managers, business analyst, technical authors and the development team to support the delivery to the business. 

UX Design is a critical position, responsible for ensuring that the software meets the needs of the business and that these expected benefits are realised by the business through correct usage.

This role will be primarily based in the Glasgow office, however there will be a requirement for occasional travel to other offices and client offices overseas. 

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. You will also possess facilitation skills for leading workshop sessions.

Essential skills, qualifications and experience & level of competence.

  • Degree qualified or relevant professional qualification(CIPD or equivalent)
  • 3-5+ years testing software, running business workshops, producing technical documentation and/or delivering training for software systems.
  • Strong visual communication ability and drawing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience designing creative and innovative, but workable UI's
  • Must enjoy a collaborative design/review process
  • An understanding of user-centered design (UCD) User Interface Design and the Software development Process
  • Mastery in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesgin, Illustrator, etc) and wireframes tools.
  • Awareness of desktop, mobile/tablet features, patterns and platforms.
