The basics…

We are looking Lead Developer to help deliver strategy and vision.

The successful candidate will integrate into their existing software teams based in Glasgow City Centre and will contribute towards developing new and exciting software in a progressing SCRUM culture.

The Ideal candidate will have had experience in a senior position where they have led/mentored other developers. Additionally, you should be prepared to learn the systems and have a passion for building & improving quality software.

Experience in a Senior Development role and a passion for helping junior colleagues is essential…

Our Client is a privately-owned collection of diverse and forward-thinking companies specialising in the housing sector. They are a provider of Technology, Engineering & Construction.  Its multi-disciplined group has grown organically over the past 50 years, and it employs over 250 people, specialising in various market sectors, including land acquisition, construction, architecture, consultancy, software development, mechanical and electrical installation, fire detection, sprinkler systems, and district heating.

Your technical background:

  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer 
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
  • Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

What type of development work you can expect?

  • You will be working in a SCRUM environment
  • You will have the chance to work on multiple products within this role.

Our new client develop applications on multiple cloud, on-premises and mobile platforms for the social housing, rail and construction sectors.
