Here at Nine Twenty Technology we are delighted to be recruiting a Software Tester for our mobile technology client, based in the heart of Glasgow. 

You will be responsible for conducting the tests before products are released and will monitor all stages of the software development life cycle.

Ideally, we would like you to have at least 1 years’ experience working in an agile development environment. This is a great opportunity if you’re looking to join a progressive development team and have a desire to eventually move into a development role.

Responsibilities: 

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet acceptance criteria.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and marketing managers) to identify system requirements.

Essential skills: 

  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with API Testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Mobile testing.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Prepare and maintain QA artifacts including, but not limited to test plans, test cases, scripts, and metrics/reports.
  • Designs automation workflows and scripts for maximum product coverage.
  • Contribute to usability, integration, documentation or functional testing.
  • Help ensure the quality and completeness of team deliverables.
