Fantastic opportunity for an experienced software engineer to join a global technology company based in Renfrew.

The role is to develop, support and deliver core software products to the SD Worx UK and SD Worx Multi-national Services Business.


  • Progress design into development, either via self or by utilisation of other team members
  • Work with colleagues to achieve delivery of core software products in accordance with agreed schedules and the IT development procedures
  • Communicate, and escalate if needed, issues identified which impact project delivery schedules
  • Identify problems or issues taking corrective action to resolve them, escalating to senior team members or the departmental manager where necessary
  • Work closely with other development team members on a technical level to progress projects and review and resolve issues

Skills Required:

  • Solid programming skills in C#, SQL Server/T-SQL,, Entity Framework, RESTful web services, JSON/XML, including writing unit and integration tests
  • Problem identification and the exercising of sound judgement in their resolution
  • Ability to self-upskill on new technologies and programming languages as required to support the needs of SD Worx
  • Ability to perform to agreed time scales and to department and development standards following an agile/scrum methodology
  • Confident and effective handling of internal customer relationships at whatever levels evidenced by the achievement of successful collaboration over the achievement of objectives
  • A passion for delivering innovative software development solutions
  • Ability to plan and manage own work items, identify risks and escalate appropriately


  • Experience in Web development (HTML5, JavaScript: ideally Bootstrap or JQuery, CSS, MVC)
  • Understanding of, and experience in, source control solutions, ideally TFS 2012 and above
  • Understanding of continuous integration principles
