Software Engineer - Glasgow

Nine Twenty are delighted to be partnering with a global IoT team in Glasgow in the recruitment of a Software Engineer.

The team have a transformative and innovation approach to IoT and are recognised globally with their market leading products.

The successful Software Engineer will be joining a passionate and creative team, working across all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

You will design and build software to support the IoT platform globally.

Your technical background:

Essential:

• Experience with backend technologies such as Node (TypeScript), Kotlin and PHP, inter-connected using Kafka and backed by MySQL.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Understanding of restful APIs and integration into them.
• Experience of working in an Agile environment.

Bonus points:

• Familiarity with Docker as your local work environment and in deployments in a plus
• Docker Swarm, Kubernetes or similar container orchestration
