Senior Software Engineer - Dundee & Angus

Nine Twenty technology are currently working alongside the largest independent mobile developer in the UK, with the search for an experienced Senior Software Engineer. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working with a team of skilled team, closely collaborating with front-end and shared technology teams to shape future technology platforms. Skills and experience required:

• Strong experience in a  software development role
• A high level of competence in one or more OO languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, C#, Java)
• Design patterns and algorithms
• Experience with RESTful API development.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL (specifically mongoDB) databases
• Experience of running Node.js applications in a production environment.
• Implementation of caching technologies, such as Redis
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS)
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting languages
• Experience with serverless / cloud functions

Preferred but not essential

• Design and implementation of micro-service architectures 
• Experience in live operations 
• Usage of Docker and containers 
• Familiar with software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum
