Senior Software Engineer - Glasgow

Nine Twenty Technology has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join a global IT firm in Glasgow. This Glasgow based client is a globally recognised organisation who not only deliver fantastic products and services to its clients but also offer their employee's a progressive workplace with brilliant development opportunities. 

The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, and implementation of bespoke software applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within the engineering team in order to develop new product features, identify and resolve quality issues, and handle product sustaining requests. 

Salary: £60,000 + 10% bonus contribution & WFH allowance

Skills and experience: 

• Design and development experience in Java 2 Platform technologies (J2EE, EJB) and web application servers;
• Extensive experience in object-oriented analysis/algorithm design
• Advanced knowledge and experience in software debugging
• Advanced knowledge and experience of root cause analysis
• Experience in version control systems e.g. Subversion, CVS, Git
• Experience in unit testing and TDD
• Experience in continuous integration systems 
• Experience in software development life cycle methodologies
• Experience of cross-browser compatibility concerns
• Experience in web application development
• Experience in performance testing and tuning
