Nine Twenty are pleased to be working with a fantastic organisation based in Glasgow who are looking for two very talented and experienced senior developers to join an ambitious and enthusiastic team. Our client is keen to expand their development team to work on a very exciting Greenfield project.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work for a very well-funded organisation who are hoping to soon be the Go-To platform to source various types of local information. The ideal candidate for this position will be experienced in Software Architecture and will be keen to transition into an Architect role.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Participation in full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, analysis and design to production support and maintenance
  • Working with the team to plan and prototype new concepts and ideas
  • Contributing to the architecture of the system to achieve complex business outcomes
  • Mentoring junior developers
  • Greenfield development
  • Contribution to the development and maintenance of the existing application
  • Comfortable working in a start-up/entrepreneurial environment

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive experience developing web applications using ASP.NET MVC, C# and SQL Server
  • Experience in or an interest in learning and using .NET Core
  • Experience in or an interest in learning and using Microservices
  • Experience of Continuous Integration and delivery/deployment environments - VSTS
  • Enthusiastic to learn new skills, technologies and techniques
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working as part of an agile team
  • Git
  • Entity Framework
  • Experience building applications for Azure
  • Understanding of OOP/SOLID and Software Design Patterns
  • (T)SQL skills

Additional Skills:

  • Solution and Enterprise Architecture qualification or training such as TOGAF
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • Awareness of patterns and tooling used for handling high volumes of traffic and large throughput of data
  • Microservice Architectures
  • Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI/SSRS/SSAS)
  • Performance analysis
