Senior Java Web Service Software Engineer - Glasgow

Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be partnering with a California-based software security provider in the recruitment of a Senior Java Web Services Software Engineer.

The company is an industry leader in providing robust software application protection and a flexible cloud-based license management platform that’s secure, scalable and feature rich.

The role:

• You will be working in a fast paced, agile environment, working with Java/Cloud Services. You will also be working with Hibernate and DBS/PostgreSQL
• You will be working on large scale software development projects
• You will design, develop, test, and scale new and existing product features.
• Estimate engineering effort; plan the implementation of prototypes into production code.
• Deliver clear, well-communicated, and complete design documents.
• You will work with the wider technical team to solve complex problems
• You will strive to produce top quality code

Technology background:

• Expert knowledge in Java
• Object oriented design and development
• Sound knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS), SQL & No-SQL databases, including DB2, PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
• Experience with data harvesting and reporting tools.
• Sound knowledge in Hibernate.
• Experience with Vaadin is a plus 
• Experience of working in an agile test driven environment is essential
• Experience of developing large scale software application
• Software scalability experience
