We currently have an urgent requirement for a Ruby Developer. The successful candidate will join the Dublin office, who are going through an exciting period of growth. With their head office in Glasgow, you will be working with a global team, joining a strong team of 20 in Dublin.

The successful Ruby Developer will be one of the first technical hires in the Dublin office, working on a recently launched masterplanning tool.

  • As the Senior Ruby Developer, you will be developing new and existing features in a codebase that is written in Ruby, C++ and JavaScript
  • Interfacing with internal and external applications and services
  • Requirements capture and analysis from internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 4 year’s experience developing code as a Ruby Developer in a commercial environment.

Experience with some or all of the following languages:

  • HTML / JavaScript / CSS
  • Ruby (or Python)
  • C++
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated team player

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with Web Services
  • Experience with UI development ideally React
  • Experience working with database or other file formats
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team
  • Knowledge of version control tools, ideally Perforce

On offer is a salary of €60,000 - €70,000 - excellent benefits package.
