Nine Twenty Technology & Digital are delighted to be partnering with a prestigious global FMCG company in the recruitment of a QA Test Engineer.

The Role:

The QA Engineer will be responsible for planning and implementing strategies for quality management and testing to improve the software development and configuration process by detecting errors ahead of moving into production.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and provide input to the Product team on test capacity forecasts, effort, duration and requirements for test activities to ensure robust system testing is implemented meeting business standards.
  • Identify and share best test and validation practice within tester community of practice (CoP) and (agile) Product team to improve test automation architecture and related technology stack
  • Reviews functional and non-functional requirements of the product / service analysing these to ensure there is sufficient information to perform effective testing.
  • Collaborate with Product team to define test methods, test cases and test data requirements (e.g. from user stories, incidents, test execution feedback) to validate the functionality of a product or service in accordance to defined standards, policies and guidelines for product and service test and according to product specifications and SLAs
  • Create, implement, maintain and execute manual and/or automatic test cases and test automation according to test case specifications.
  • Creates and analyses test result and defect documentation in an appropriate tool and provides supporting information for defect classification and resolution.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science, IT, Software Testing or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience with QA tools, different testing methods, automated testing processes, knowledge of applicable software applications and platforms.
  • Strong critical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with product team members and stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of software testing, its main concepts, and processes: the whole bug life cycle, different testing levels, methods, and types; test estimation techniques.
  • Relevant certification is desirable.
  • Software development background is desirable.
