They are focused on providing solutions to the needs of their costumers always offering a quality and personalized service.

Currently they are looking to join their team in Bellshill a QA Software Tester.

The Role:

Working within an Agile environment alongside their Product and software development team the main purpose of the role will be to contribute to the testing processes, tools and delivery quality of their advanced logistics platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for test/QA activities relating to delivery of software changes for the company’s advanced logistics platform
  • Participation in design meetings to agree testing requirements: specifically the development of both acceptance criteria and acceptance tests
  • Continual development and improvement of the testing processes and tools used by the team
  • Design, implementation and execution of both manual and automated tests
  • Coordination of test activity by all team members
  • Participation in the process to agree and marshal appropriate groups of changes into a testable software release
  • Delivery of a software release through the required testing phases to candidate live release stage
  • Responsibility for learning from post release issues, and feeding back into further improved test processes

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience of a test/QA role
  • A strong understanding of manual and automated test good practice
  • Preferably an honours degree qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related subject area
  • Experience of working within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team environment
  • An instinct for curiosity and scepticism to pursue test issues to an understood conclusion
  • An ability to succinctly capture and communicate issues found during testing
  • A feel for good user experience (UX)
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/deployment, automated build, test and other SDLC tools
  • An ability to work directly with customers if required
  • Outstanding commitment as an individual and a team player
  • A passion to learn and share ideas
  • Ability to see a project through to completion
  • Taking ownership of the testing requirements of a project and ability to take the lead when required
