A rare new opportunity has arisen with a registered Charity that is at the heart of their community in West Lothian. They ensure that everyone has the opportunity to live a healthier, happier, and longer life. The charity has a turnover of over £12.5million, 20,000 members and attracts 2.4 million visitors per year.

You will be based in the main office in Bathgate, but this role is hybrid which will provide flexibility.

 

The Role

You will be an exceptional and creative all-rounder with a great track record who wants to make a difference. Working across strategy and delivery you will support business growth, whilst telling our story and increasing awareness of the organisations charitable purpose and impact.

You will work across the full marketing and communications spectrum including brand, digital, and media communications, marketing of products and services, and public affairs and campaigns. Leading a small but talented team of service providers your role will be to increase awareness and engagement across the brand and services and support growth in revenue.

In this role, you will lead the marketing team which consists of two specialists and external providers. You will also report directly to the board and play a pivotal role in the charity. You will also lead the development of the new website.

  • Leading on the creation, development, and management of digital and social media strategies including social media; website; online presence, and utilising the Customer Retention Management System data. 
  • Manage all marketing, publicity, and PR design and print materials procuring online for all printed materials and PR requirements.
  • Develop, implement and manage multi-channel marketing plans - an ability to reach under-represented groups and target audiences is particularly important.
  • Reviewing and proofreading all digital content such as blogs, social media content, advertisements, and website copy.
  • Manage the marketing staff including freelance service providers, providing assistance and training.
  • Manage the marketing budget ensuring spend remains within the allocated budget.
  • Manage the Charity’s positive brand image ensuring all signage and print is consistent with the Charity guidelines.
  • Manage all aspects of the Charity’s Public Relations Strategy and responsive/emergency PR requirements.
  • Contribute towards the innovation of company products and strategies.

Requirements

If you are cover most of the requirements but have limited experience in one area then please do still get in touch. There is the opportunity for training.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Previous experience and proven track record in a similar role including brand management, digital marketing, customer insight and analysis, website/social media management.
  • Several years of experience in a similar role, and the ability to lead.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write briefs, copy write and press releases.
  • Excellent project and budget management skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Web content creation.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and analytics tools such as google analytics.
  • Knowledge of Adobe, Photoshop, Quark, digital marketing and content management systems.
  • Experience of public relations management including responsive an emergency PR.
  • Current valid driving licence [and use of a vehicle].
  • Willingness to continuously develop and attend training and development sessions in line with your personal training plan.
