Market Data Analyst - Edinburgh/Midlothian

Nine Twenty are working exclusively with our Edinburgh based client who are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

• The ideal candidate will responsible for the following duties:
• To develop and produce routine reports and format data into a user defined structure.
• To be responsible for analysis and reports on all the commercial and strategic aspects of the client market.
• To generate KPI reports on a weekly basis as requested by the business and support business growth.
• Any understanding of marketing or energy would be advantageous as this will be the main business areas who require data analysis and reporting.

To be successful in this role you will have most of the following:

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong IT and data manipulation skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong numeracy and analytic skills with a relevant degree – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or similar.
• A genuine interest in data and solving data related problems
• Experience in at least one of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, VB, C/C++/C# or Java.
• Must be self-motivated with good time management skills
