Fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to join a leading organisation base in Clydebank.

Purpose of the role

  • To manage, maintain and improve all IT systems and business processes including hardware, software and databases at all UK locations
  • To ensure that IT systems are managed and developed to ensure long term stability and work with management team to grow profitability.
  • Fully participate in the wider management and to facilitate a culture of constant improvement within a “One team” environment.
  • Proactively explore ways to improve processes to ensure current systems are used most effectively including any available functionality not currently employed.
  • Be the central point of communication, control and project management of all IT /Process developments
  • Contribute to ongoing group systems development representing UK and seeking synergies within the group wherever possible.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Maintain physical and virtual security of all Powerhouse computer systems.
  • Ensure smooth day to day running of all IT systems and assist colleagues at all levels in their efficient use
  • Supervise and develop IT staff
  • Manage all systems related expenditure within agreed budgets with due consideration to cost control and value for money
  • Project manage all IT related developments with a key objective of keeping all stakeholders informed.
  • Develop systems to enhance management information and thus improve the quality of decision making by the management team
  • Central point for all IT related issues on a day to day basis
  • Ensure that all systems, procedures and processes and used properly and consistently throughout all areas of the business.
  • Own, develop and maintain business relationships with all 3rd party providers
  • Work closely with Web development team to maximise synergy of web systems within the overall IT systems structure.

Skills

Have a sound understanding of:-

  • Retail business IT systems structure and function
  • Networked systems
  • Database management
  • Systems Security, PCIDSS standards, Ecommerce and Payment platforms, Business ERP, Retail EPOS and Warehousing/logistics systems.
  • Developed communication to work with colleagues at all levels across all UK sites
  • Project management
  • A knowledge of Exchequer ERP system would be an advantage
