Nine Twenty are delighted to be in partnership with McDermott Group on their hunt for an Internal IT Administrator who will be responsible for providing IT Support at both 1st and 2nd line level as well as setting up the entire infrastructure for their new office.

This is the perfect role for a self-starter who loves all things tech!

McDermott Group is a privately-owned collection of diverse and forward-thinking companies specialising in the housing sector. They are a provider of Technology, Engineering & Construction.  Its multi-disciplined group has grown organically over the past 50 years, and it employs over 250 people, specialising in various market sectors, including land acquisition, construction, architecture, consultancy, software development, mechanical and electrical installation, fire detection, sprinkler systems, and district heating.

The basics…

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an IT Administrator. Although based at our Glasgow office, the main purpose of this position is to support the business in all aspects of IT at our 6 sites across Scotland.

Job Title – IT Administrator

Location – Glasgow – occasional travel to support other business sites

A FULL UK DRIVERS LICENSE IS A MUST HAVE!

Day to day…

  • Appropriate user support (1st and partially 2nd level support)
  • Planning, installation and configuration of IT infrastructure
  • Operate and maintain IT infrastructure
  • Coordinate local IT activities with central IT functions
  • Coordinate IT activities with external IT service providers

What we need from you…

·A high knowledge of Microsoft-Operating-Systems Windows XP/7/10, Server 2016 and Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2016. 
·A high level of expertise in configuration and operation of IT infrastructure and related processes
·5+ years’ Experience in an IT support or similar role.
·A degree, diploma or other certificated qualification in a relevant subject area is desirable.
·Must be willing and able to travel regularly between all sites as required and sometimes at short notice. (Company van is provided)
