Nine Twenty are currently looking for a driven 'Infrastructure Analyst' to join one of our long-term, manufacturing clients based in their Milton Keynes site. Over the years, this client site has grown significantly along with the IT services and they now have various computer users on site including a number of chrome devices, tablets and smartphones. In addition to this, their 3rd party manufacturing and logistics partners also have a number of servers and systems on site.

Role Purpose

  • To define and drive business benefit through cloud & technology transformation
  • To manage all aspects of our Google GSuite domain and drive process efficiency and adoption through all business functions
  • To deliver excellent levels of IT service to the  community through effective 2nd/3rd line incident and problem management processes
  • To manage IT risk and ensure high levels of availability and resilience through the pro-active management of IT infrastructure assets and support partners
  • To ensure the Company’s IT Infrastructure is maintained and developed to meet the requirements of the Information Security Policy
  • To proactively identify opportunities to improve service, availability, resilience or functionality of the Company’s IT infrastructure
  • To ensure effective delivery of Infrastructure refresh or continuous improvement projects
  • To establish long term business wide partner relationships and help maximise effective and efficient system adoption and provide recognisable benefits


  • Support the front line defence of our networks, protecting information from unauthorised access and violations. Assess potential security risks, develop plans and implement measures to address current and ongoing security threats and risks including cyber education
  • Develop additional technology & services and/or infrastructure to enhance the company’s business systems.
  • In consultation with user departments, explore opportunities for improved tools for the job adoption and investigate options and methods which may be used to deliver improvements.
  • Ensure that the agreed backup procedures continue to be effective and recommend modifications as required.
  • Monitor the performance of all hardware platforms, investigate and recommend any enhancements which may be required.
  • Support the IT DR Plan, ensuring that it is maintained, fit for purpose and tested annually
  • Provide technical support and advice on matters referred by the Help Desk.
  • Remain vigilant about upgrades and patches, managing end-of-life risk and wider implications of required changes/updates.
  • Support the installation of agreed changes, repairs and/or upgrades required to the hardware, operating system or business applications


  • Self motivated and be able to work on his/her own initiative and with the minimum of direct supervision
  • Experience of functional partnering combined with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills – both verbal and written.  Able to flex their influencing style and engage effectively at different levels of the business. 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to personal development, ensuring they keep current and up to date with technology.
  • Measurable proven track of business Cloud transformation success ideally in an FMCG environment, e.g. GSuite, Office 365, GCP, AWS, Azure
  • Demonstrable business benefits achieved via technology and cloud service adoption and strategy including cloud architecture and brokering.
  • Experience of managing all aspects of Google GSuite and driving adoption and business change in a similar sized organisation.
  • Able to manage external suppliers to work together on a multi-faceted solution and the experience to troubleshoot and manage critical incidents that can include multiple vendors
  • Demonstrates analytical and logical thinking.  Uses experience to resolve issues, recommend solutions, implement preventive measures and deliver results
  • Knowledge of network, storage, server and client management technologies
  • Knowledge of a server and client virtualisation technology
  • Knowledge of Video and audio collaboration technologies
  • Ability to work within an ITIL framework
