Our client TRTL has a new and exciting role. You will be working for an award winning, fast paced growing brand with international presence. You will be responsible for building and growing the retail division of the business delivering new customers and maximizing retail sales.  Responsibilities include:

Strategy & value creation

  • Partnering with the CEO and senior management team to monitor and manage the business planning and strategy, driving the growth and performance of the retail business
  • Building the retail division of the business including both national and international, focussing primarily on airport retail and similar opportunities, development, implementation, monitoring and review of the business strategy maximising the retail net profit by driving sales
  • Working with the CEO and senior management team to deliver the target growth, controlling costs and demonstrating an understanding the cost of winning new business
  • Identifying and forecasting sales revenue, driving new sales channels with new and existing customers
  • Understanding different pricing models within the retail market including the European retail landscape and airside retail
  • Managing and supervising the execution of the complete sales cycle, co-ordinating retail sales activities, negotiation and closing sales

Essential attributes

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Previous track record of driving sales results with exceptional leadership within an international retail environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong awareness and excellent understanding of product merchandising, planning and analysis
  • Ability to deliver and convert the retail sales strategy into profitable sales
  • Ability to build on existing contacts and to introduce new contacts to the business
  • Excellent knowledge of worldwide retail landscape including US, EU and Far East. 
  • Understanding of airside retail advantageous
  • Excellent planning, organisation, communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent business acumen demonstrating the ability to multi-task, managing business needs and priorities and deadlines
  • Willingness to travel (National and International)
  • Willingness and awareness that there is a requirement to work offsite meeting existing and new retail clients in order to grow and develop the business
  • Good interpersonal/ influencing skills
  • Positive and resilient, adaptable and comfortable in a fluid, fast-paced, high growth culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English required, other languages advantageous
