The role:

The successful applicant will join a fast-growing managed IT Operations team. You will have a passion for information technology and delivering customer success, and ideally be educated in the IT field. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our Managed IT services, that help our customers in delivering, managing maintaining and optimising their IT environments. This is an exciting new role in our team. You will become part of our growing IT Operations team, with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills with inclusion into the strategic direction and roadmap of the services, alongside real potential for career progression. 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive monitoring and development of IT Operations platforms
  • Troubleshoot customer IT incidents
  • Support on-boarding new customers
  • Perform proactive patching of customer and Maple Networks environments
  • Support customers with upgrades and patches required in their organisation
  • Ensure SLAs are met, by follow up with internal and customer stakeholders for information and updates
  • Support customers with remediation activities
  • Perform reactive maintenance on both customer and Maple Networks infrastructure
  • Flexible working hours

Requirements:

  • Technology related degree or equivalent experience
  • Industry IT experience
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of storage environments
  • Knowledge of backup technologies
  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
  • Good written communication skills
  • Good verbal communication skills (English speaking)
  • Able to work under own initiative and as a team player
  • Self-starter with the aptitude to learn
  • Familiar with ITSM ticketing systems
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, high-stress environment
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, ever changing industry

Desirable:

  • Ability to communicate complex, technical scenarios at a high level
  • Experience of working in an IT Operations Centre
  • Industry Accreditations
  • Experience of working in multitenant environment
  • Knowledge of public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Knowledge of security technologies (Anti-Virus/EDR/Firewalls
