Nine Twenty are now recruiting for a Graduate Technical Consultant to work in the Glasgow location for a Global Technology Company.  Our client’s offices are spanning across Europe, Asia and America. They are based in modern offices in the out skirts of Glasgow (easily accessible by car and public transport), with fantastic onsite facilities (including a games room and subsidised canteen). In terms of organisational structure, they offer the best of both worlds; a small, niche team within a stable, global organisation.

In this role you will be working as part of one of our client’s Professional Services teams engaging directly with our client’s customers to develop world class customer experience solutions using the company’s portfolio of Customer Engagement Optimisation products.

You will be responsible for:

  • Install, configure and utilise software engineering skills to customise CEO products
  • Participate in meetings and workshops with customers to gather the customers’ requirements and explain how CEO products meet those requirements
  • Carry out testing of the solution and create supporting documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and learn lessons from those reviews to continually improve coding standards.
  • Effectively triage defects (UI, process and integration) and fix simple/medium
  • Be responsible for designing simple sections of our solutions maximizing
  • Tests of software solutions

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Understanding of all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience of using SQL and relational database technologies e.g. SQL Server, Oracle.
  • Knowledge of developing and using Web Services e.g. SOAP
  • Working knowledge of Java
  • Experience of some of the following: HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSL/XSLT, Ant, CSS, JQuery, JSP, Ajax.           
  • Ability to travel both within the UK and internationally
  • Excellent client facing and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • degree or post graduate qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
  • Demonstrable skills in Object
  • Oriented design concepts
  • Demonstrable skills in Relational
  • Database design concepts
