This is a high profile role within the Group with a high level of interaction with the Board and senior team.  The role is to provide a range of financial analysis and reporting across the business, which will aid effective decision making.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is qualified either CA or CIMA.  We would like someone with manufacturing experience and is comfortable analysing costings/margins etc.  The role will work closely with key stakeholders including but not limited to CEO, CFO, Branch Manager and the Finance Team.  It is expected that the individual will travel to sites to support the needs of the business and as such, overnight stays away from home will be required.  This is a new role with a focus on analysis and reporting.  It will report directly to the CFO.

Main Tasks & Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision and development of management information to assist in measuring and analysing business performance.
  • Provide ad-hoc commercial and analytical support to our Branches, including analysing costs of materials, inventory, people, overheads, operating variances, product pricing and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, performance, productivity and effectiveness within the business.
  • Lead and manage the production of the finance scorecard.
  • Act as the finance contact for significant software research and development projects.
  • Support, from a finance perspective, the acquisition and integration strategy of the group.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as defined by your Line Manager or appointed Deputy.

Skills

  • Qualified CA or CIMA or equivalent
  • Track record in a financial analyst’s role
