The Novarum Reader is a powerful software tool that lets you read and share the results of diagnostic assays (including lateral flow tests) using nothing more than a smartphone.

Our unique, world-leading technology can be used by anyone, anywhere, with minimal training: connecting patients and doctors, field workers and lab researchers, and primary care clinicians to specialist practices.

It’s powerful, fast, and 100% secure, putting reliable results in the hands of the people who need them.

Recently acquired by BBI, Novarum is now part of the BBI Group.

BBI is a fast-paced, determined and agile business. Commercially-led, the current structure of our teams enables quick decision-making and the opportunity to work within a broad and varied remit.

Our culture gives our people the opportunity to influence and collaborate in a friendly and open environment. We also recognise and develop potential within our teams.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join innovative company bringing mobile imaging technology to medical devices.

This position will establish and maintain systems infrastructure and support the mobile and web based software development teams.

The activities are likely to include:

  • Responsibility for procedures that support the IT infrastructure (Backup & Disaster Recovery, etc).
  • Management of server Linux based infrastructure for all Novarum internal projects and clients.
  • Managing real time replication of multiple servers, backups and disaster recovery.
  • Managing deployment of applications (web and mobile) for clients including certificates etc.
  • Continuous integration of mobile apps and web portals through Jenkins (or other similar tools) throughout all lifecycle of products: build, test and deployment to appropriate app markets/servers.
  • Supporting the development team and the management team through continuous improvement of processes within the development and delivery cycle.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record in setting up and managing systems.  The role requires the ability to take ownership of systems and will involve writing automated scripts (Ansible and Python currently in use).

The successful candidate will be focused on delivering key business objectives within a quality assured environment so experience of controlled processes such as ITIL or ISO900 is desirable.

The salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.

It is expected that this is a full time, permanent position, however Novarum will consider flexible working arrangements

If you can tick some of the boxes below, then I would love to hear from you.
