An exclusive opportunity is available for a Customer Operations Analyst to join a growing firm based in Edinburgh city centre on a temporary basis. Our client created and operates the largest and most advanced smart grid system in the UK – bringing revenue to UK businesses, reducing national CO2 emissions and helping to secure energy supplies.

The role is a varied one but focuses on operating an in-house asset monitoring system. You will respond to system alerts and telecommunication faults, resolving issues directly or escalating them to senior staff or clients.

You will also be required to perform tasks including analysis of performance data (using Microsoft Excel); creating and updating documentation of procedures; ad-hoc data gathering and data entry tasks.

Required background:

  • The successful candidate will be confident in a computerised environment and will ideally have experience operating in a 24-hour operators’ desk.
  • Sound knowledge of data entry (Excel).
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in any crisis
  • Willing to learn new skills
  • Commercial and operational awareness

Hours and Salary

You will be offered a rota of a minimum of 35 hours per week, which will be averaged over the financial year.  Your average working week will be made up of a minimum of two, 12 hour shifts, as part of a rota with other Operators providing desk cover 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your basic pay will be £9.15 per hour (+25% shift allowance).
