Cloud Platform Engineer - Glasgow

Nine Twenty Technology has a fantastic opportunity for a Cloud Platform Engineer  to join a global IT firm in who have offices all across the world. This Glasgow based client is a globally recognised organisation who not only deliver fantastic products and services to its clients but also offer their employee's a progressive workplace with brilliant development opportunities.

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will work within an established  Global Cloud Operations team, based in Glasgow.  The Cloud Platform Engineer will ensure, along with other team members that all hosted environments are available and that SLA’s are being met within relevant timescales. Additionally, you will work as a mentor to junior members of the team providing technical guidance, helping them learn operational excellence and how to deliver complex solutions.

Skills and experience required: 

• Either AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
• 2 Years comprehensive hands-on AWS experience
• DevOps methods and processes (incl. Config Management, virtualization,
  monitoring, code management)
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or applications in the production environment
• Strong experience in Linux and Windows Administration
• Experience with one of the following: JBoss, Tomcat, WebSphere, Apache or IIS.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer-facing skills
