It is an essential tool in managing the commercial activities of the business and is constantly evolving with both new sources of data and new output and analysis requirements. They also have a number of smaller reporting tools performing some application specific BI which fall under the remit of the role.

My client recognise that Analytics is a rapidly changing area of the technology marketplace and that it is increasingly important for them to understand the opportunities that may arise to drive business performance - this is a key role in making this happen.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Building capability in other application specific reporting tools to provide on-going support and exploit tactical opportunities (eg OVR and Hubble for JD Edwards)
  • Building relationships within the Cognos support and user community to bring best practice to bear within our environment
  • Actively reviewing the Data Analytics marketplace to inform our future BI strategy

Key Skills:

  • Extended experience in architecting and developing OLAP and data warehouse reporting solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of IBM Cognos (v10.2.2 and v11), including framework manager, transformer and report studio/workspace advanced.
