Nine Twenty are delighted to assist in the recruitment of a Business Development Manager on behalf of our well established technology client based in Glasgow. Salary up to £60,000 + Bonus.

As a Business Development Manager your role will be to seek and develop new business projects. The key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Take a consultative approach to understanding the customers needs and priorities

  • Making proactive sales visits, calls, building relationships and performing other business development activities
  • Take a proactive interest in the customers business model and the challenges/opportunities relating to its success

  • Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate services/solutions

  • Collaborate with technical pre-sales and technical partners to shape and lead the customer through the most appropriate path to evaluate propositions


  • Proven experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role

  • Experience of formal procurement processes such as ITTs and and frameworks

  • Experience in constructing commercial proposals

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques and methodologies

  • Track record of achieving sales quotas

  • Strategic thinker and experience of working at strategic level
  • The ability to understand customers’ business needs and to ensure that the business's products and services meet these
  • An upbeat personality and a positive can-do attitude
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g. Dynamics CRM)
