Nine Twenty are working with a successful software house, who are looking to add a Business Development Manager to their growing team. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities as well as managing and growing client relationships.

The Role

  • Develop, Grow and run your Sales Region.
  • Develop pipeline, maintain a healthy sales funnel and close business.
  • Accurately forecast close dates and deal values.
  • Negotiate contracts and close transactions.
  • Work with Marketing to target events and lead generating campaigns that enable you to run your business effectively in a 12 and 24 month rolling business plan which you will build in your new role.

Candidate Requirements

  • You will have a demonstrable track record in Software and Services sales, with 7-10 years direct sales experience with an emphasis on new business selling and the ability to create need.
  • You may have experience of selling 3-5 yr service contracts. You will be able to demonstrate leading and closing business with contract values raging for £250k - £5.0m +.
  • You should have experience of selling back office ERP and/or front office solutions.
  • Experience of selling Cloud based solutions in the last 2 years of your career.

You are capable of forming partnerships to achieve your objectives and may well already be well networked in a partner community. People you have worked with know your reputation and are delighted to talk when you start a new role with a new company. 

You may have the ambition to move into Sales Management and recruit and grow a team following on from your personal success. You know how to qualify an opportunity and you have good judgement.
