Nine Twenty are delighted to assist in the recruitment of a Business Development Manager on behalf of our client, a well established specialist within the security sector. Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to cover the Midlands and South Yorkshire territory.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying new sales leads
  • Pitching products and/or services
  • Researching the needs of potential clients and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong new business sales experience selling security/CCTV/fire alarms
  • Experience of selling into the following sectors - Logistics, Banking, Utilities 
  • A desire to continually learn, pick up new skills and increase your knowledge
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
