Role Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for new business development activity, including identifying new business opportunities, generating new leads and meeting and exceeding revenue targets. The role may also include elements of Account Management of key clients.

The successful applicant will be either an experienced Business Development Manager or someone with a strong sales background in another area. Some knowledge of the electric vehicle industry would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitoring public sector procurement portals and identifying appropriate tender opportunities
  • Registering the company interest in appropriate opportunities
  • Managing tender timelines to ensure all deadlines are met and that information required from internal and external stakeholders is requested in a timely manner
  • Collating all necessary documentation
  • Ensuring all essential criteria on tender submissions are met
  • Liaising internally with various departments to seek the necessary information to effectively answer quality and pricing questions
  • Submitting high quality tender responses in a timely fashion
  • Maintaining an up-to-date archive of relevant information and stock responses which can be used in tender responses
  • Handling inbound Customer Service and Business Development queries as required
