Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be recruiting a 3rd Line Support Engineer for their technology client based in East Kilbride.

The successful candidate would be joining an established organisation, with over 20 years of history working in the Scottish market. Our client offers a supportive working environment, with the opportunity to work with a team of friendly, interesting and diverse people, who are passionate about what they do.

The successful candidate will have 3-4 years’ worth experience within a 3rd Line support engineer position and will have experience working with telephony systems as well as cloud services, ideally Office 365.

The Role:

To be technical point of escalation for 1st and 2nd line service desk roles by defining and establishing schedules, setting priorities, providing support/direction and dealing with all technical issues.

Your background:

  • Demonstrable experience supporting medium-large enterprises 
  • Experience in the following core technologies:
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 / 2012 o Microsoft Active Directory  
    • Microsoft Hyper-V 2012/2016
    • Microsoft SharePoint 365
    • Microsoft RDS
    • Microsoft Office 365 Exchange and on Premise
    • Networking (TCP/IP, VPN’s, Radius & VLAN troubleshooting)
    • Backup technologies for physical and virtual environments
    • Good Understanding of Microsoft Replication
    • Good understanding on Level 3 Network Firewalls / Routers
    • Good Understanding of VOIP Communications
    • Good Understanding of Microsoft Azure
  • Experience working in a client-facing role
  • interested in leading and mentoring junior engineers
