Can you tell us a little about your background before you joined the team at Nine Twenty?

I left school to study business at City of Glasgow College and from there gained a place at Strathclyde Business school specialising in Human Resource Management & Business Law. I finished my exams at the beginning of May and six days later started my first graduate job here at Nine Twenty.

What attracted you to working with our team?

I had been interviewing with various recruitment firms but what stood out to me about Nine Twenty was the team. The recruitment process was welcoming and less daunting than others I had taken part in previously. From the off I was made to feel comfortable and part of the team. Even being invited to the end of quarter celebrations before I had started! The team are all so kind and extremely hard working, and that is great to be a part of.

What does your role in the business involve?

To begin with my role is primarily focusing on the candidate process in recruitment. Therefore, I am responsible for resourcing roles in order to support my more senior colleagues. This allows me to speak to and meet many different individuals which I greatly enjoy.

What is your focus over the next 3 months?

Ideally in the next three months my main focus is to immerse myself in all the tech jargon! This still seems quite daunting but in order to be fully successful I’m going to need to become a bit of a tech geek! I would also like to hit my targets for the next quarter and continue to meet as many clients and candidates as I can.

You have just completed your first couple of weeks, how was that and what have you been up to?

Following my first couple of weeks I have been meeting a number of candidates and clients, and I have been given two roles to work on my own. Although no placements yet, I’m hopeful they are coming soon. Regardless, my first few weeks at Nine Twenty have been great and I’m excited for the rest of my journey here.

Tell us more about who you are out of work?

Outside of work I’m always on the go! I’m the type of person who can’t keep still and the idea of a lazy day is my worst nightmare. I love meeting with my friends, going on adventures with my dog Beau and travelling as much as possible. Also, I basically fund ASOS and nothing makes me happier than online shopping.

If you'd like to speak to Zoe about regarding a future opportunity, for yourself or your company, don't hesitate to get in touch.
