When software provider Voice Technologies were looking to grow their team, they engaged with our technology team to help find the right candidates.  We spoke to Software Development Manager Colin Wood to find out more.

Why did you choose to work with us at Nine Twenty?

We had been looking for new team members for some time and had been down all the usual routes of graduate and employment websites but, in all honesty, we couldn’t find the right person who was the correct fit for the company and had the desired skillset. We also found that the process of shortlisting candidates from the many applicants was taking us away from our day job, which we couldn’t afford to do as a relatively small company.

We began to look further afield and Nine Twenty came highly recommended. We set up an initial meeting and haven’t looked back!

 

How was Nine Twenty’s communication throughout the recruitment process?

We really can’t fault Nine Twenty on their communication throughout the entire process. We were immediately assigned an account manager and the recruitment process was quickly underway. We were provided with regular updates on candidate applications and how the shortlist was looking, interviews were all arranged on our behalf and job offers were made to the successful candidates. Once the job advertisement was posted we were always kept fully up to date with the current status. What has also impressed is Nine Twenty’s communication following the appointment of a candidate, they seem really interested in how people are settling in to their new roles.

 

How did Nine Twenty help to promote your employer brand?

Nine Twenty are genuinely interested in understanding the company culture as well as the specific role, and the work they carried out on our behalf perfectly fit with our core values. In the end this ultimately ensured we had a shortlist of candidates who were not only capable of fulfilling the roles requirements but were also a perfect fit for the company. Nine Twenty’s use of their website, contacts and social media channels also enables our company and roles to be promoted in areas that would be otherwise inaccessible to us.

 

Overall, how did Nine Twenty do?

Since our initial role was advertised and fulfilled with Nine Twenty, we have gone on to utilise their services on a number of occasions in a relatively short period of time. We are really pleased to have a recruitment partner we know we can turn to who will consistently provide high-quality candidates for our consideration. The whole process has been seamless from start to finish and we look forward to working with Nine Twenty again.
