Meet Fore Digital's new Client Services Manager, Colin Chapman

Our featured employer Fore Digital have recently welcomed another new face to their growing team. We caught up with Client Services Manager Colin Chapman to find out more about his new role.

Tell us about your background, and how you came to work with Fore?

 

I was recruited by the Commercial Director, Colin McNab after working at Equator as a Business Development Manager for nearly five and half years.

At Equator, I helped source digital marketing, web development and innovation opportunities and played a key role in new client acquisition.

Prior to that I’d worked in a number of other new business roles at smaller digital agencies. These gave me a great introduction to the industry and agency-world in general, though the size and reputation of Equator meant securing my position there definitely felt like a step up.

 

What does your role in the business entail?

I’m responsible for seeking out and winning new business across a variety of sectors, to help grow Fore’s revenues across its range of marketing, creative and digital services.

I’ll also be involved in feeding into and helping shape the new business and marketing strategy, helping to raise the agency’s profile and increasing the number of new opportunities available.

 

What got you excited about working for the brand?

It’s a great time for Fore. Even though it was only established two years ago, the agency’s growing rapidly with lots of new, talented people joining across various teams and a move to a new, bespoke-fitted office coming in January 2019.

They've been working on various brand and marketing projects across a number of channels for clients in the property, leisure, retail, food & drink and other sectors, using high-end technology and creative solutions for brand development, online social campaigns, CGI/360 delivery and VR/AR.

It felt like an exciting opportunity, coming at the right time, and the chance to help play a key role in the development and further growth of the agency was really appealing.

 

Can you tell us about any projects you’re going to be working on?

It’s early days as I’ve only recently joined Fore. However, I’m looking forward to helping bring new clients on board and working with them to deliver successful campaigns and projects, with creativity and innovation at the fore (if you’ll excuse the pun).

 

What’s your favourite thing about the industry?

Digital’s rapid pace of change and the continual drive to deliver more effective results in increasingly creative and innovative ways, makes it a really exciting sector to work in.

It’s also great to be able to work as part of a team to help solve client challenges - there’s something very satisfying about everyone contributing their own knowledge and expertise to achieve success. 

 

What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?

I’ve a two-year old boy who keeps both my wife and I on our toes. He certainly knows his own mind, that’s for sure!

When I’m not kept busy entertaining him, I enjoy watching Manchester United (as much as you can these days) and Aberdeen and also like keeping fit by going to a bootcamp at The Shed Nightclub (of all places).

When I get the occasional night out, I also like going to gigs - Lauryn Hill and Massive Attack are both on the horizon which my wife and I are looking forward to.
